Apothecary Update

Work In Progress / 17 October 2018

Some more updates, I redid the floor, wood beams and walls in Substance Designer, still need to create the fireplace brick. I also removed the stone foundation, it just wasn't working for me and I could not seem to find many references that showed the lower wall even looked like that in medieval buildings. My biggest issue right now is the lighting. I want to create a good atmosphere but the corners of the room are so dark I'm losing all the details. If anyone can help me with the lighting I'd greatly appreciate it, I'm rendering in UE4.

More Updates to the Apothecary

Work In Progress / 04 October 2018

I've added more details to my Apothecary environment. The fireplace is just a temporary texture and I need to redo the walls again. The desk needs more items on it. Overall I'm really happy with how this is coming along. Would love feedback and suggestions on this.

Also if you missed my previous post about this one. Here is what it looked like 3 years ago

Updating An Old Piece

Work In Progress / 29 August 2018

This Apothecary was the first environment I ever made, it was back in 2015. This year I've been updating it. It's really showing me how far I've come in the last 3 years. Originally I used Photoshop and Zbrush for my textures. This time I'm usung Substance Painter and Designer. There's many more elements I need to add and fill in the blank space.

Potion Bottles

Work In Progress / 25 August 2018

Just playing around with some ideas for low poly models I created these potion bottles they share UV maps and a texture so they can be altered into many different shapes. Still working on adding more details to them.

Update: I added more geometry to separate the bottle and liquid and brought it into UE4 added opacity and a panner node to create bubbles in the potion. You can't really see the bubbles in the screenshot though. Will need more tinkering.

Mystery Shack Work In Progress

Work In Progress / 02 July 2018

I am currently working on the Mystery Shack from Gravity Falls. I am using this project to increase my skills in making structures and hand painting textures. I'm going to blog my updates here until I can post the finished piece in my portfolio.
